Minutes of the Central Committee of the Libertarian Party of Maryland — Wednesday, 29 June 2016
Opening: The Libertarian State Central Committee of Maryland met at the home of Stuart Simms in Laurel, Maryland. The meeting was called to order at 7:46 pm by Chairman Bob Johnston.
Attendance: the Credentials Committee consisted of: Robert Glaser; Stuart Simms; and Tony Spezio (not present). It validated that 13 Central Committee members were in attendance for the meeting. Two proxies were represented. The Central Committee rolls consist of 39 members.
Nominations for public office:
April Ademiluyi (ElectAprilAdemiluyi.com) for Prince George’s County Circuit Court Judge (non-partisan race): eight years practicing law; stresses integrity and reform. Nomination approved by voice vote.
Jason Summers, U.S. House 5th congressional district: most passionate about educational freedom. Nomination approved unanimously by voice vote.
David Howser, U.S. House 6th congressional district: new to LP; very interested in 2nd amendment issues; problem with HUD. Nomination approved unanimously by voice vote.
Announcements: Robert Glaser has license plate applications and MdLP caps for sale; newsletter submissions are due July 5. Eric Blitz advises that Gary Johnson will be at the National Press Club and The Loft in DC on July 7.
