Filing for Office

Posted on Updated on

Although the special Central Committee meeting last Saturday had to be canceled, you still can get on the ballot for the November general election, and will have other opportunities to secure your nomination.
However, anyone who wishes to be on the ballot must file a Declaration Of Intent at the Board of Elections, 151 West St, Suite 200, Annapolis, by 9 pm next Tuesday, February 25:http://elections.state.md.us/candidacy/index.html  (click on “non principal party political candidates”)

The remaining documents and filing fee are due by August 4, and can be mailed to the BOE.

If you are running for a county office, the Declaration Of Intent must be filed at your county Board of Election office:

Note: I would not wait until next Tuesday to file – the wait will be very long.
