Our annual convention will take place at Bavarian Brauhaus German Restaurant in Hanover, Maryland on Saturday April 17, from 3-9pm.
We have sold out of tickets for the 2021 LPMD Annual Convention, as we have reached our maximum for the venue. People who did not pay for a ticket can still attend the central committee meeting portion of the convention if you are on the state central committee. If we have extra room at the time the central committee meeting starts, preference for attendance as non-participating observers will be given to those who purchased tickets, starting with the tables, the gold, then the basic packages. Note that central committee members can also participate via written proxy.

Choice of one main dish:
Jaegerschnitzel – Breaded center cut Pork cutlet fried golden brown topped with Bacon, Onion, Burgundy and Mushroom gravy.
Lemon Chicken – 6-8 oz. marinated in Herbs, Garlic and Wine.
Baked Flounder – topped with tasty chive sauce.
Brauhaus Wurstplatte – Bratwurst (pork sausage) and Bauernwust (smoked beef sausage.)
Vegetarian option is available upon request.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS
James Bovard is the author of ten books, including Public Policy Hooligan, Attention Deficit Democracy, The Bush Betrayal, and Lost Rights: The Destruction of American Liberty. He has written for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Playboy, Washington Post, New Republic, Reader’s Digest, and many other publications. He is a member of the USA Today Board of Contributors, a frequent contributor to The Hill, and a contributing editor for American Conservative. The Wall Street Journal called Bovard ‘the roving inspector general of the modern state,’ and Washington Post columnist George Will called him a ‘one-man truth squad.’ His writings have been publicly denounced by the chief of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Secretary of Agriculture, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, the Postmaster General, and the chiefs of the Transportation Security Administration, U.S. International Trade Commission, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency, as well as by many congressmen and other malcontents.
Kerry McDonald is an adjunct scholar at the Cato Institute’s Center for Educational Freedom and a senior education fellow at the Foundation for Economic Education. She is the author of Unschooled: Raising Curious, Well‐Educated Children Outside the Conventional Classroom and a regular Forbes contributor. Her research interests include homeschooling and alternatives to school, self‐directed learning, education entrepreneurship and innovation, parent empowerment, school choice, and family and child policy. Kerry’s articles have appeared at The Wall Street journal, Newsweek, NPR, Education Next, Reason Magazine, City Journal, and Entrepreneur, among others. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Bowdoin College and a master’s degree in education policy from Harvard University.
