As regular readers of our website probably know, the Libertarian Party of Maryland is a member of the Marijuana Policy Coalition of Maryland, working to capitalize on last year’s success in passing a marijuana decriminalization bill. In this year’s session of the General Assembly, we are advocating for a legalization bill (with tax and regulate) and a second bill to include paraphrenalia within the coverage of decriminalization.

In anticipation of next Monday’s lobby night, the coalition sponsored a legislator’s only briefing on marijuana policy, giving legislators the opportunity to pose questions to state officials from Colorado and Washington, states which have experience with legalized marijuana. In addition, the coalition held a press conference.
