On June 8th, from 1 to 4:30 p.m., the Libertarian Party of Maryland will hold its first statewide event for volunteers. We’ll introduce you to local and state leaders, describe upcoming volunteer opportunities in 2019, explain the details of this summer’s effort to re-establish official party status in Maryland by gathering petition signatures, and listen to your suggestions on what you’d like to see the party focus on in 2019 and 2020. There will be free pizza and drinks.

This volunteering event will be held at the Crofton Community Library, 1681 Reidel Road, Crofton, Maryland 21114. If you are hearing impaired or otherwise need a sign language interpreter, please contact us at least one week in advance so we can make arrangements by sending an email to Eric Blitz at email hidden; JavaScript is required  After the event, there will be an ice-cream social at a local shop. We’ll announce where at the meeting.

The Republicans and Democrats are working hard to continue their stranglehold on the electoral process. As college coach Urban Meyer once famously said: “Championships are won in the off-season. The Grind!” We must work hard during our ‘off-season’ (2019) to be prepared to perform well during the 2020 election. Only by outperforming expectations will the media and general public take notice of Libertarians and the principles they stand for. Let’s do the hard work now to beat their expectations in 2020.
